… To be more specific, in the woods near The Dalles Oregon, even more specifically at the Dalles Ranch.
If you head out of town from the Dalles, up a highway, then off onto a two lane country road, than many more miles down a rough and winding gravel road, you will happen upon this hidden gem of a cabin getaway. Tucked amongst thousands of oak trees is a large log cabin with a beautiful view of Mt. Hood. If you happen to follow Google however, you will end up at the end of a gravel road, forced to turn back only miles from your destination, forcing you to backtrack many miles. Lesson learned.
Despite the set back, this was one of my favorite weddings of the 2015 season. The couple, and their friends and family, were a ton of fun to spend the afternoon with. Being a person who enjoys my time in the forest, this casual wedding felt warm and welcoming from the moment I got to the cabin. The weather was beautiful and at the end of the night the stars put on a show for the guests. Thank you to Nathan and Jean for your patience while dialing in the perfect star shot – one of my favorite wedding photos this year.
